Just a little simple advice: if you're in the mood for a movie about female obsession, skip Unforgettable and watch "Single White Female," or "Fatal Attraction" instead.

This is my shortest review ever and for good reason, Unforgettable (which is more like a made-for-TV" or Lifetime movie) doesn't deserve a single word more or a single moment of your time.
Totally Forgettable
I am not sure what a movie like this is doing in a theater and not on the Lifetime channel. It's predictable, stupid, and boring. I kept looking at my watch, hoping it was over soon. Once you have seen a terrific movie like "Fatal Attraction", a poor man's version of crazy other woman just won't do. And why is it that a terrific actress like Rosario Dawson seems to get stuck in poor flicks like this. She deserves better. Katherine Heigl, not so much.
Unforgettable is a pure male fantasy of X-wife has to be crazy
Unforgettable is a pure male fantasy, completely predictable. Does an X-wife always have to be crazy? Fine acting. Fine cinematography. The reality of the situation is typically husband gets deep in a relationship with a nut first girlfriend post divorce, takes the children along on the crazy ride.
Excellent Thriller!
I honestly don't know what the critics are talking about, this was such a great movie and once it comes out on the Cineplex Digital Movie store I'm going to watch it over again. This movie kept you wondering what was going to happen throughout the whole thing and was very suspenseful and a great thriller movie for anyone over the age of 16, male or female. It also had an excellent ending and Katherine Heigl and all the other actors did an amazing job in this film! Again this is a great movie and I can't wait to watch it over again. Hope it comes out as soon as possible on DVD and Digital stores because this movie is so awesome!
VIEWS ON FILM review of Unforgettable
"I'm done with crazy." So quips the trouper of David Connover from 2017's Unforgettable (my latest review). Me, well I'm not done with kitschy, dramatic thrillers because I go back to them every chance I get. It's a sickness and a darkened room escape I tell you.

Taking place in Northern and Southern California, Unforgettable is slick, trashy, lacks artistic value, and provides guilty pleasure entertainment. If you've seen the trailer, you don't need to be a genius to figure out what's gonna happen over the next 100 minutes (Unforgettable's lively running time). Similar yet restrained compared to Obsessed, Swimfan, 1992's Unlawful Entry, The Perfect Guy, and 2015's The Boy Next Door, Unforgettable is sadly my kind of contrite, film scanning. Call it a cinematic love-hate relationship for the viewer. Call it a stock, agitation-filled train wreck that you can't look away from.

Now Unforgettable despite a minor twist and some decent performances, still comes off as predictable with a sort of hooey ending. Watching it, you feel one step ahead of everyone and the foreseeable actions they partake in. Oh well. Director Denise Di Novi does manage to create a little tension and for much of the way, Unforgettable masks itself as a nasty, manipulative ride. Heck, you'll never look at Facebook, online chatting, or a hair brush the same way again.

The story is as follows: Julia Banks (played by Rosario Dawson) and David Connover (played by a low key Geoff Stults), are about to be engaged. David also has a child with his ex-wife, Tessa (played by Katherine Heigl). Julia and David's engagement doesn't sit well with deranged, unstable Tessa. She literally lives right next to the future spouses and looks to make Julia's life a living hell. There are murders, a framing of a murder, legendary cat-fights, and gerrymandering of today's social media (cell phones, cell phone photos, and the aforementioned Facebook). Heigl's Tessa is everywhere, looking as though there are holograms made for her.

Zuckerberg's creation and batsh*t craziness aside, if you've seen the movies mentioned earlier in this review, you'll know that Unforgettable is familiar stuff. The thing that helps it become almost recommendable is the acting of Dawson and Heigl. They rise above the material presented, throwing themselves into character and giving nerve ending turns. I'll give Heigl and Dawson a rating of three stars and every other element in Unforgettable two. My overall rating: 2 and a half stars. Unforgettable isn't entirely "forgettable" but compared to something like the superior Fatal Attraction (I almost forgot about that flick), it's second tier and not that "compatible". My advice for Dawson's Banks from the first half hour of Unforgettable was this: Get out of the inevitably bad situation woman! It's real simple.
I was looking forward to watching this film and had high expectations, but this is another one with the misleading entertaining Trailers.

Unforgettable has good performances and an okay plot, but the movie is very slow-paced.

I watched a similar genre Lifetime movie right before which was better than this!

You can't do much with an obsession movie, but if you do make one make sure it's thrilling. Unforgettable lacks suspense and tension. It is not interesting and i was literally falling asleep during the leisurely showdown between the two women.

Overall a useless motion picture that doesn't live up to it's thriller genre.
Unforgettable? Hardly.
"Unforgettable" is yet another entry into the "mad, obsessed, ex- wife genre." There is nothing original here.

Ex-wife Katherine Heigl still believes (in her warped little head) that she and ex-hubby will eventually get back together--even if it is over the dead body of husband's latest squeeze, played by Rosario Dawson. Yawn. Dawson's telephone is stolen (right out from under her nose), and Heigl begins her dastardly plans to eliminate her competition.

The movie could have been so much better had the director and producer removed their heads from a certain portion of their anatomy and gone at things from a different angle. We are introduced early on to Heigl's just-as-crazy mother. Had the movie moved on THAT angle, it just might have worked. Why not let the audience think it was the ex-wife orchestrating everything...only to find out it was the mother!

Rated "R" for language, sexual situations, and violence.
Like so many below par movies, you really have to suspend your knowledge that people behave logically for it to work. It's always a sign of lazy writing when the advancement of the plot continually relies on implausible occurrences to advance. There are other problems that arise which are difficult to overlook. There is hardly a scene in the movie that the two women aren't together. They seem to spend so much time together it's difficult to believe they're no related or living next door to each other. Conjoined twins spend less time meeting than these two. Of course none of this seems out of the ordinary to The lead, played by Rosario Dawson. In fact the whole cast seems oblivious to situations and circumstances that are too far fetched for reason that any normal person would flag in five seconds.

Rosario Dawson is really the only outstanding cast member in this film. In spite of the short comings of the film she does a very good job with her role. Katherine Heigl takes stoic mannerisms to the next level with a 'Wax works' like performance that would put a store front mannequin to shame. The rest of the cast is reasonable and given Geoff Stults character seems to suffer from some form of dysfunction that renders him oblivious to human feeling and interaction, he does a reasonable job.

The nuts and bolts of this story are nothing new and a bit laboured given it's all been done before (on numerous) occasions. It isn't even a particularly good rendition so I'm oddly surprised its been chosen as a remake without anything novel being added. There are no surprises twists or developments you won't see coming a mile off and actually the pacing here is pretty even from start to finish.

OK as a stand alone movie it isn't bad. Fatal Attraction is really the standard movies from this category seem to be judged by, but there are others with varying levels of success. If you've seen any of them, I would say don't bother this one, as I said, there's nothing new to see here. If you haven't, give it a shot and you'll probably enjoy it.
Nope, it IS forgettable ... predictable and after twenty minutes, just not that good. The ending? It seems to be pure schlock, no wait, it IS pure schlock.

You know, I kept waiting for the crescendo, the thrill ride down from that pivotable moment, SOMETHING, give me something here ... nope, almost nothing.

De Novi (bad- bad girl) builds a story, fleshes it out right away, then meanders to a ... what surprise ending? (It was flat ).

You want to like this, the cast is capable, the story deserves twist and turns not a long boring road trip. The directing is good, but that is the most you might give her. The acting is good, but the story is FORGETTABLE!
